email account setup

hi

just got my new iPad mini.
trying to set up a second email account in settings. (main, BT account, set up successfully.)
I fill in the correct user name and password, the dialogue window then appears with the following pre filled:

Incoming mail server. Host name. : pop.tiscali.co.uk

Outgoing mail server. Host name. : smtp.tiscali.co.uk

The message then reads. 'Cannot connect using SSL'

What am I doing wrong.
