Downgrade iPad2 wifi only from 4.3.4 to 4.3.3

Hello, i had my iPad 2 Wifi only jailbroken at 4.3.3(so SHSH blobs are saved) when it began looping at the apple boot logo. Since i had no SSH installed, the only way out was to reinstall 4.3.3, which didn't work because of error 1600 or 1604. I needed to access an important file in an app so i installed 4.3.4. Now i would like to downgrade back to 4.3.3 but still the 1600 errors appear. (I'm using TinyUmbrella and my Ipad2 in DFU mode) I tried everything, changing USB port, reinstalling Itunes, using 2 other computers, but nothing works. The only programm adressing this error1600-issue is iREB RC4, but sadly it doesn't support the iPad 2. Any suggestions?

One quick question, when you were jailbroken did you physically open TinyUmbrealla and save your blobs? I ask because from your statement it kind of sounds like you are under the impression that just because it's jailbroken the blobs get saved automatically which is not the case. Not sure how familiar you are with all this so forgive me. If you did not save your blobs then unfortunately you are out of luck and cannot downgrade. Also it is not looking promising for 4.3.4 to be jailbroken any time soon if at all.

If you do have the blobs then try these steps:
Step 1: Download the required IPSW file http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/24939-official-apple-ios-firmware-download-links-ipad.html

Step 2: Once you’ve downloaded the required IPSW file, put your iPad DFU mode, if you don't know how to do this check here http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/27489-dfu-mode-dummies.html

Step 3: Open up TinyUmbrella and press the "Start TSS Server" button

Step 4: Launch iTunes, choose your device from the left sidebar. Hold down the left “Shift” key if you’re on Windows or hold down the left “alt” key if you’re on a Mac and click on “Restore”, do not click anything else! A new window will pop up asking you for the location of the IPSW file. Now navigate to the IPSW you downloaded in step 1, click “Open” and let iTunes do its thing.

I believe that's it, if you have any problems come back and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Thank you for your response. My SHSH blobs were saved by Cydia and TinyUmbrella is doing its job, otherwise i would get a 3194 error code.
What you suggest is exactly what i've already tried, so sorry if my statement was misleading.
Has anyone successfully rolled back from 4.3.4 to 4.3.3 on a wifi only iPad 2?

But did you download your blobs from Cydia to TU? Do 4.3.3 blobs show in the TU display pane? What's in the list?

Edit - Scratch that. Plenty of reported success on TU blog.

What does your hosts look like? And what boxes have you got ticked on advanced? And what version of TU?
Just checking the obvious...

I think the "solution" is that the iPad didn't work properly. I had to send it to apple, because it was freezing/crashing frequently and the support said it's probably a defective chip. I will receive a replacement which surely will have 4.3.4 installed so no way back to 4.3.3. Thanks for all your efforts in finding a solution.

I have the same problem and my ipad was working ok, no crashes etc...
Mine is an ipad 2 3g with shsh saved and i´m trying to downgrade from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3 using tinyumbrella 5.00.07 and itunes 10.3 (also tried 10.4), no success, always got a 1600 error.

My hosts file looks like this:
127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

If I use 127.0.0.1 got a 1600 error.
If I iue 74.208.10.249 got a 1013 error

No way, any hep?

What happens when you put the # in front of both of those gs.apple.com lines? If you haven't tried that, do so? Oh, and if that doesn't work with what you have now - upgrade to the latest iTunes and try again.

--- or ---

f4780y just put up a lovely sticky here: http://www.ipadforums.net/jailbreak...-your-ipad-using-tinyumbrella-shsh-blobs.html

Maybe start from scratch using that? Couldn't hurt...

Let us know how you get on.

A 1600 is what you expect if your baseband is not aligned to 4.3.3. You definitely used TU 5.00.7?

Try installing 4.3.5 normally (it should sail through). Then follow tutorial again. It should complete without error.

Hi, yes i used 5.00.07 also tried 5.00.06 both with the 3g ipads update.

4.3.5 is the ver. I have installed and working already. I tried everything, changing hosts ips, in DFU mode, in restore mode, with tinyumbrella, without tinyumbrella...i´m driving crazy...

The only way i can enter in restore mode (with the progress bar) is with ip 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com and ip 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com but then i get a 1013 error and i need to restore to 4.3.5 again.

Well, I don't recommend messing with your hosts file unless you know what your are doing. Editing it will just get you in a mess. You certainly should never be pointing anything to 74.208.105.171 manually EVER!

Delete every gs.apple.com line from your hosts file completely and run the tutorial again (don't comment them out, delete them!)

Hope that helps.
