copying cbr and cbz files

I have an old ipad2 (yes i know it's old and out of date) I want to give this to my grandson as he has just found comics, CBR and CBZ files.

I have tried to copy them from my MBP 2011(same applies old) and i cannot copy them, a quick message flashed up but did not get a chance to read it.

Also is there somewhere to download old mac apps, there plenty for PC's but can't find a thing for macs

You‘ll need to import these files into an app that’s compatible with the file format and your operating system.
The latest software the iPad 2 runs would be iOS 9x, which means your options are limited.
There are few apps still available and working with the OS on your device:

Both haven‘t been updated for at least 3 years, so it‘s possible they don‘t work well.
