Close running apps?

On my old iPad I could double click the home button and show the running apps.
Then I could press and hold until they wiggled then close them. Can this be done on the
New mini running ios7?

I just figured it out. Double click home and when the apps appear swipe upward and they go away.

Hi Mark - assume that you have upgraded to iOS 7.x; if so, then your description above is now the method to CLOSE apps; you can also open the 'Multitasking Screen' by using multi-fingering gesturing from the bottom and swiping up - congrats! Dave
