Hello all, I'm new to the IPad community and just picked up my iPad 2 a week ago. I absolutely love it but I can't seem to figure out how to change sound notifications for things other than ringtone (eg. Mail, calendar, etc.). I read the user guide right through and I'm not sure if there's just general notifications for these apps cause I couldn't find anything about it. If someone could fill me in that would be great! TIA... Sorry I posted in the wrong section and can't figure out how to move it. Sorry...

Short answer, you can't change notification sounds.
It would be possible on a jailbroken iPad, but considering you have an iPad 2, that is not an option, so for now will you have to live with the standard sound.

Now it's interesting because, I use Pocket Informant, which sits on top of the iPad Calendar and you can change the notification sounds there. There's a very comprehensive list of 13 alternate notification sounds - including gunshot, cash register, pop, bell, and so on....
But I agree, I can't see any way of doing that for the standard apps.
