It's more than likely to do with the naming of the photo's.
iOS and the CCK will only accept files that have an eight digit filename, as in 12345678.jpg or Home0001.jpg

Try renaming your shots to a suitable understanding and see if that works.
I have folders where the first four characters explain the whereabouts of the photo and the remaining four to display the numerical sequence of the shots.

I am slightly confused - when you say "import old photos" do you mean that they are still in the camera or stored on a computer. If the latter then I have no difficulty in importing files with files of ANY length from my Windows PC wirelessly using PhotoTransferApp.

The OP is talking of importing using the CCK not any other App.
The CCK restricts you to the file length.

Hi Fabrizio - welcome to the forum! :)

As already explained the images on your camera's memory card (and many are accepted) must have an 8-character name & these images must reside in a DCIM folder on the card - those are the two requirements. Does you Nokia N96 have a memory card or is your only option via a USB connection? If the old camera has a memory card and you have a computer that can read the card, then check for the presence of a DCIM folder and the file format length - good luck!

Hi,
It's correct, I rename my old photos with 8 character name and, and when I connect the Camera Connection Kit, my Ipad import all images immediatly.
Thank very much, I lose 2 days to find this solution.

Hi Fabrizio - glad that you worked out importing your images - we've all had initial learning curves to climb - and I would suggest the next time you have a 'vexing' question about the iPad, come here first! The answer may already reside in the forums or may be quickly answered. Hope to see you posting - :)

Was that intended to be helpful?

Beards was pointing out to you that the OP was not talking about using anything other than the camera connection kit. There was no mention of using a computer and PhotoTransferApp to transfer the photos to an iPad. I believe he was looking for help in getting the CCK to work with the Nokia N96.
