Hey all ipad users, does anyone know a great way to download movies onto the iPad without getting a virus

Buy them from a legit source like iTunes or Amazon.

Yes, and Amazon has a Prime Membership program ($79/year, USD) where you can download an app on the iPad and view movies and TV shows for free (because of your membership). Amazon (and iTunes, BTW) also have a good movie rental program, so there's that also.
