Bookman and Comics

Many of the comics I tried to put on Bookman application (.cbr and .cbz files) don't work properly. Some show all the pages, others have all pages blank except the cover page, and some have 7-8 good pages and all the rest blank. What gives? Thanks for any advice.

I have only seen this phenomenon once, and that was a result of my not paying attention during an FTP transfer where the iPad went to sleep (and only affected the one book). Every FTP that completed, as well as the sharing via iTunes route, has been a complete success.
