Book will not load

Why won't my book load? It has something spinning on it like it is loading but its been 3 days..still spinning.

May we have a bit more information? As in - from where are you trying to load the book and with which app are you trying to load the book?

It keeps telling me to go to purchases and tap download..when I go there it says downloading but it is whited out..I.e. dim I am using ibook the one with the bookcase. I have a new ipad.
