Automatically Flagged Junk Mail??

Hi all,
This is a 5th gen IOS 16.3.1 and I've just started noticing many of the emails I've previously ID'd as junk go into the trash folder and are flagged??
I never flag any junk emails for any reason.
What's going on??

Forgive me, but are you perhaps confusing the blue “unread” symbol with a flag?

Their all red flags jupiter. Was never any blue. I never read them.
Just mark them as junk with the little red circle showing up.
Don't get the red flags all of a sudden???
