Apple is expected to release this year's new iPhones and iPads on September 9, and that's when the much-rumored iPad Pro is also believed to finally make its appearance. Sources speaking to 9to5Mac report that the bigger-sized iPad will have a higher resolution screen and could feature an optional stylus with Apple Force Touch.

The information is coming from analyst Ming Chi-Kuo from KGI Securities, who claims that the Force Touch stylus support could be used either for Apple's own pen or for third-party solutions, such as the enhanced Pencil from Paper’s FiftyThree. Apple has already built the Force Touch technology into its new MacBook computers, so it makes sense for the new iPad and iPhone to get it, as well.

The analyst believes the iPad Pro will go into production between September and October. He also believes than an optional Lightning-charging stylus could be released alongside the larger-screened iPad. The stylus would allow users to write more easily with pressure sensitivity.

The iPad Pro is tipped to have an LCD panel with a resolution of 2732×2048 and an aluminum body composed of the 7000 series alloy from the Apple Watch.
