Very interesting. I don't think the vintage textures are so bad, but I'd welcome a change and maybe more appearance options. I once spent an entire day changing most of my system and application icons on my macbook pro just to give the whole thing a fresh look. I also tested some old apps that 1) allowed spaces to switch like a cube spinning and 2) changed the desktop pic for each space. Eventually got tired of the look and put everything back to the way it was.
