I received an I-Pad with Retina Display for Christmas. I am new at this I-Pad experiance.
Is there any programs out there where I can download, cheaply, a function where I can print from my I-Pad to My HP Photosmart C5550 Al-In-One printer? Any help would be appreciated by me and a whole lot of other I-Pad users who dont have a Mac computer.

Welcome to IPF LarrysRDIPad!

You might take a look at a few of the printer servers or apps. I've used PrintCentral and many others recommend Printopia or FingerPrint. If you search IPF using those names you'll find lots of helpful advice.

I simply put my HP printer on my wireless network and print documents from my ipad just as I would from my computer. No special apps needed, just a wireless printer.

It is very automatic if your printer happens to be AirPrint compatible. Otherwise, a print server as mentioned above is required.

Follow the instructions that came with it. If you don't have the manual, you can download a PDF version from HP. (Assuming it is a wireless printer...)

AirPrint Problems

I have an iPod 3, a Belkin 'N Wireless Router' and a Hewlet Packard Photosmart 7510 Printer.

When I try to use AirPrint I get the 'No Printers Found' message.

All three items work separately. The router connects PC's, smartphones and the iPad. The printer works through the router from my old PC.

I have tried all the resets, reboots and all other advice, from all three manufacturers sites, plus this one, to no avail.

The really annoying thing is that when I bought the printer, in May 2012, it did work, intermittently.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I find that sometimes when it doesn't work for me, I'll just turn off my router, wait a few seconds and then turn it on....then turn off my printer and on again and the connection is found again. Simple but effective for me.....hope for you too.
