Air print issue w Epson workforce

So the guy at the apple store assured me this epson with AirPrint is the best for printing from the iPad. So today I got it working fine on the Mac, but no matter what when I go to the print command on the pad, it can't find it. It's on the same network, im running ios 5, which seems fine otherwise, and I went to the epson tech support site which told me to download new firmware. Did that, but the firmware can't find the printer either. Even though it's right there in the tray! Argh. Epsons site sucks, and I don't relish calling their tech support so I'm hoping someone here can help.Thanks
