Age and Model of iPad

I know I've had my ipad at least since 2012. How do I find out how old it is and whether it is iPad 1 or iPad 2. Thank you

The very first iPad came out in 2010. Look at it's back cover. That's where you find the model number, starting with an A. If the number is A1219 or A1337, it's an iPad 1.
With model numbers A1395, A1396, or A1397, it's an iPad 2, which was released in 2011.

I think you can also find what your model number is under the setting menu somewhere.

Settings > General > About > Legal > Regulatory

There is another valid model number at the About level, but it is not the one that Apple lists publicly, or most look up sites use.
