"add to home screen" oooops

Not sure if this is in the correct section or not, but I'm hoping someone can help.

First, I'm a total newbie with the iPad, but I'm having a great time figuring it out. Mostly. I hit the "add to home screen" twice for my email sign-in (can't get it to work on the accounts part)....so now I have two of them on the screen. I can't figure out how to get rid of one!

Hold down on the icon. It will start to wiggle and an X will appear. Hit the X to delete and then the home key to stop the jiggling
