Even though Jobs has the power to set the date, I doubt it's arbitrary. There must be some rational reason why they are waiting till the end of April. Maybe something to do with giving AT&T time to set up the 3g plan? Who knows...

Charge is gone??? Last week my available balance went down $900 or so dollars (for the ipad charge 64gb 3g) but now the available balance is back up to normal??? Did this happen to anyone else??? P.S. I got the letter saying it was going to ship late april. & everything still looks the same...

There are going to be some long inconvenient lines in malls across the country if they make people wait till 5pm to get their ipads at the apple B&M stores.

Has anything really changed? Apple seems to have run out of available stock for the first batch of preorders so they changed the date for the next batch of orders to may 7. They didn't want everyone who has already preordered to freak out when they saw the new date for shipment so they sent out...
