Hey Dave
Extrememely kind of you to go thru that so extensively - thank you! :) Yes actually I've been going thru the support tab and its very confusing. Those folks appear to make it difficult if not impossible to get technical help. Do you know if I'd need the same type of sync password if I...
Hello
I just paid for 'Docs To Go' Premium. Looking for help in trying to Sync my email server (being able to actually send attachments). I lost the option/opportunity to punch in a code directly into the application (as instructed). I couldn't figure that out?
Thank You :)
Hi there again Mr. twerppoet
Just wanted to get back to you with thanks. It seems through extensive fiddling trying out countless basic editors, I finally discovered 'Docs To Go' (as you know they offer 2 different pay versions). They've apparently recieved repeated praise and it seems to work...
Hi there again Mr. twerppoet
Yes thank you I only need a simple Notepad editor. One which could recognize and open a 'Windows Notepad' document (attached to an email) and can edit and resave the same document. The iWorks suite, (although nice), is a bit overkill. I'm amazed and equally confused...
Hi Gang
I'd like to avoid updating my OS as everything seems to be working fine. But of course the latest version of Pages is not compatible with OS9 Version 9.3.5. Does anyone know how I can get an older App to open Notepads? Maybe iWorks?
Thanks
Hello J.A. thanx for the reply. Sorry, I wasn't asking if a file could be opened in 'Mail' and be able 'to edit in Mail' I don't use the iPad2 Mail App. I go directly to my server to get email. I thought I might be able to open an email (from the server using 'Pages'), not the iPad2 Mail App...
Hi Gang - I have an iPad2 using OS9. I've read a lot of people use 'Pages' to jot simple notes etc. Some people also send themselves emails which contain Hotel reservation data (etc.) they may need for a trip. Was wondering if you could open an email using 'Pages' so you could make text changes...
"Windows might even open an image import/library app automatically"
Yep - I got an Apple iPad2 prompt to allow access for import and 'Wallah', there were the photos - no App necessary.
Thanx again my friend!
Hello twerppoet!
SUCCESS - Photos COPIED Directly with connection and recognition accomplished from iPad2 to 'Windows Desktop' using Windows 7 no need to install 'Windows Essentials'. It would appear Apple and Windows 7 work together.
Thank You All
Mike
Hello Again twerppoet!
Thanx for the reply. Yes I do have a few Mac Pro desktops but I've stayed in much older operating environments in order to maintain expensive software. Actually I use a Windows PC (Windows 7) as an everyday workhorse. I've read up on capturing/launching/extracting iPad2...
GREAT NEWS MY FRIENDS! :D
I recieved the iPad2 today (Like New) Turns out it does have OS9 after all! I jumped right in and its working fine! For $100 bucks can't go wrong using it as hoped checking email from 'GMail' server saving a few web pages and snapping a few pictures.
Still...
Hello There Jupiter! You mentioned "native Notes App built into the iPad" So then there is an existing 'primitive' program within the iOS 4.3 in the iPad2 that will save itself in a folder somewhere? That's great - its all I was asking for. And I wonder if I could copy a particular 'native...
Hi Gang
I have an older iPad2 and have explored several ways to transfer files. One simple method is to use the 'Apple Lightening USB Connector' and a 'Powered Bus' This method appears to be the most direct. My question is will the OEM OS in the iPad2 enable recognition of simple Windows...
