I need help with my email account on the iPad. I recently had to change my password and everything was fine for a few hours. Ten it came up telling me my user name or password were wrong. I kept trying to get it to work and finally deleted the account as I have done in the past with no problem...

I certainly hope you don't mind my popping in. I have posted in the past with email issues on the iPad and you were one that helped me. I can't for the life of me find where exactly I need to post my issues. If you can help me, then please reply to this and I will finish typing the problem...

I am so back at it again only this time I am having outgoing email issues Te connection to the outgoing server "smtp.att.yahoo.com" failed additional outgoing mail servers can be configured in settings. I've done that and nothing seem to work. Forgive me for adding this latest to this thread...

Finally, I think the problem is fixed I just hope I don't jinx myself writing this... I totally deleted the att account, cleared history and cookies again? Then I went to my desktop and changed my password again and then back to my iPad and set up a new account using the same att email address...

I have not.. However, if I shut it off at night and then back on in the morning I sometimes get a couple emails but that is it...good luck, I may ave to do the same thing.

So, I'm back again..... Got on to check emails this morning and got that same message and no emails...what the heck is going on? I have an sbcglobal account as well and getting emails on that account but not the att account.

I shut it down and back on. For some reason after doing that my att account was gone, I added it back on and it works.... Thank you for your help, greatly appreciated.

I tried and still the same thing.... The box that pops up says The user name or password for imap.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect.. That imap stuff was automatic, I didn't type that in there,

I tried that and I am sad to say it didn't work, I keep getting the same message I have noticed that the incoming mail server is different from my main/original email account the original mail server is pop.att.yahoo.com My email account that I am having problems with shows mail server...

Wondering though if i delete my email address and try to add it again, will it tell me it already exist?
