Thanks for that. Strangely, I just checked again. I did have the iPad plugged in to my PC this afternoon and it synced while it was there. Basically, it has cleaned up the mess. The duplicated folders are gone and there are only a couple of automatic ones. Seems to have cured itself. Cheers

I just booted my iPad Air to find a message that iOS9 was available to install. Obediently, I hit Install. This is the third time. I am more than a little interested to know how many more times I will be asked to install it.

I have the problem covered in this thread and have done the checks you suggested. I now have that Control Centre Mute Off but I still have no audio for Skype. The iPad speakers sound the call ring okay, and I can be heard at the other end, but I cannot hear them. Is there something else? Thanks

Hey there, twerpoet. Any company which is too big to talk to its customers has a real problem.

That problem was not fixed in iOS8.1 so I lodged a complaint. Why would they not have the courtesy to respond - are they too busy fixing their hurry, hurry mistakes? We'll wait and see what they come up with ;)
