    A5X Proxessor vs Tegra 3

Simple question. Which one do you think is better, A5X or Tegra 3? We know the iPad 3 wins in display, but what about speed and power?

What Improvements expected on iPad 3?

The three major improvements in no particular order are: 1. Retina Display 2. 4G LTE 3. Quad-core (Cortex-A9) A6 Processor ...although it would be really cool if it was actually quad-core Cortex-A15. It would certainly back up Tim Cook's statement of "mind-blowing Apple products this year."

Apple iPad event set for March 7, 10am PT !

Maybe the iPad is upside down, explaining no home button.

    Any Android Tablet Owners?

The $399 Asus Transformer Pad 300 is a pretty big contender. Apple would do best if they reduced the iPad 2's price to $399 and put in the A5X Processor and then released the iPad 3 at $499 with the A6 Processor and Retina Display.

'A5X' CPU featured on purported Apple 'iPad 3' logic board

Isn't it more likely for the A5X to be quad-core then? Considering that BGR was right about the GPU, it's more likely that they're right about the quad-core processor. Photos show quad-core iPad 3 processor, Wi-Fi and global LTE options

    Any Android Tablet Owners?

I have a Galaxy Tab 8.9 right now and waiting for the iPad 3. I have to say, after a week with it, that I absolutely hate how laggy and slow it can be. Of course, it does help shut my Android friends up about how much better Android is. Point being, once we compared the Galaxy Tab 8.9 with an...

ipad 3 dual-core or quad core?

We only have two processor options if we want the iPad 3 to remain competitive for the rest of 2012: 1. 2 Ghz Dual-Core Cortex-A15: This probably won't be out until Summer 2012. Not likely to be in iPad 3, although it would be one of the best option. 2. 1.4 Ghz Quad-Core Cortex-A9: Somewhat...

    iPad 3 Launching March 7?

Wait, is the iPad 3 being launched or announced on March 7? Because a bunch of sources are conflicting between the two.

    A5x not a6?

You would have to overclock to 2 Ghz to compete with the Asus Ttansformer Prime and Galaxy Tab 11.6. At that point, I would opt for quad-cores with a fifth core for low power tasks, similar to how the Asus Transformer Prime works. I would worry about battery life if I had overclocked dual cores...

    A5x not a6?

I'm pretty sure the iPad 3 will be quad-core. Look, the A5x processor is unprecedented. When has Apple ever just added an x? The 4s had the 3GS as a precedent. In addition, a buttload of other sources have said it will be quad-core along with being announced on March 7. Finally, Apple needs to...

Dream list of wants for iPad 3

An A6 1.5 Ghz quad-core processor so that I can tell Android fans to suck it. Also a Retina Display.

    Best ipad games out there?

Riptide GP and Infinity Blade II are my favorites, along with the obligatory Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, and Tiny Wings.

ipad 3 dual-core or quad core?

Yeah. Remember, beta for iOS 5.1, as shown here iOS 5.1 Beta Hints At Quad-Core iPhone, iPad | PCWorld , has signs of quad-core devices. On top of that, a source from geek.com iPad 3 event on March 7 -- Retina display and quad-core A6? hints at a March 7 announcement and is confident of...

ipad 3 dual-core or quad core?

Quad-core processors are even more battry efficient than dual-core. Just look at the Asus Transformer Prime. If anything, Apple is even more inclined to make it quad-core.

ipad 3 dual-core or quad core?

I'm pretty sure the processor will be quad-core though because of the pictures from iBoot. Those "sources" that say that the iPad 3 will be dual-core are anonymous. We don't know who they are nor how reputable they are. For all we know they could come from the old man across the street or...
