well I don't need the latest 4.~ update. Isn't 4.1 untethered? I just need someone to explain the steps on how I can update my firmware without losing any files and jailbreak it again. :)

I have an iPad currently running on a 3.2 firmware and its already jailbroken. I want to upgrade to 4.1 or whichever 4.0 version that is untethered, however, I am not too sure on how to upgrade my firmware without losing all my jailbroken apps. Can someone list me a step by step instruction...

I'm not too sure if it's loose or not: The attributes include: - no clicking noise - no movement - i can't push it in further I heard someone used a penknife to "unstuck" it . . . and it worked afterward. I will be attempting that soon . . .

No its literally stuck in there, so the mechanism isn't responsive. . It's not too much of a problem than an annoyance. But I'm looking for ways to fix it, rather than have a handicapped iPad. I'm looking for suggestions on how to get it unstuck without having to send it in.
