Some of the apps are complete scams. They remain in the app store even after they are pointed out to Apple. Check out the user reports but discount the first few 5 star ratings since they may be posted by the scammer.

Will any app permit the Ipad telephone app Whistle to run in the background? Does "backgrounder" work this way? Sorry for the dumb question but I have never jailbroken my Ipad.

The ipad has a strong signal when I take it into the bedroom at night, but if I try use the Internet during the night it won't re-acquire either of my routers. I will try turning Wi-fi off and on again to see if that solves the problem

I agree. I signed up for the 250 plan and after two weeks of hardly using 3G I am almost at the limit. I find that the Ipad does not automatically select Wi-fi when available. In my case I have to disable 3G. Never-the-less this thing is a blast.

I use the NuShield that was recommended by someone on this forum to reduce the reflections in bright light. It helps a little, but not much. Also doesn't help much with fingerprints. The screen sensitivity is not reduced, however (IMO).

I don't have a movie icon. That is what is confusing me. Maybe it got removed in sync or maybe it was never there(doubtful).

OK, another dumb question. I copied a couple of DVD's to my computer, copied them into Itunes, synced them to the Ipad, but how do I play them? Is there an app for this obviously there is or several)? Would someone give me a hint. Thanks

We took a short auto trip and I asked my wife to test Netflix in the car. It worked great but she had a difficult time finding a way of looking at the Ipad with out glare. This morning was a cloudy day in the NE with no sunshine. I had hoped that my wife would be able to watch movies on...

I would like to be able to sync to more than one computer. For example, my apps and some music is on one computer, movies are on a second computer and my wife's mail is on a third. All have Itunes installed. If it is not possible, I guess I could transfer the movies to the computer with apps...

What app do I need to download to use the gps feature? Sorry for the dumb question

Everybody is anxious to have their credit card charged already. I am hoping for Thursday or Friday (or later), in which case I won't have to write my check for another month:)
