Is there any limit to the length, or to the structure, of the Phrase one can use? I am trying to,use it as a group email send address.

You can make a short cut under Keyboard in System Preferences by putting a short cut word with a Phrase into the Keyboard entries. But I cannot discover how to erase a short cut and its associated phrase. you can erase the short cut, but the phrase seems to be immovable. Any ideas, anyone? NM

Can I once again recommend PDFpen which allows you to collate several pdf files, edit them, add notes, remarks, figures, text etc. it is extremely easy to use. I have used it on the iPad and the iMac for a long time and don't feel a need for anything else..

Sorry I have twice made a mistake in my post When you want to enter a new word into the dictionary, put it into the New Shortcut, and put nothing into Phrase. Normally a shortcut expands into the phrase, but if the phrase is empty, it just accepts the word as a shortcut and leaves it alone...

I have used PDFPen both on the iPad2 and the iMac and it is versatile and excellent. It also allows general editing of PDF documents, annotation, etc.
