Yes. What bothers me though is that I found out how to do a force restart the day before and had performed it, noticing the problem only the next day.

Since I updated to ios 17.1.1, I can no longer upload photos to Mastodon or Facebook. I suspect it's something to do with security settings but can't locate anything meaningful in the security settings for safari or photos.

Thanks Dave. I've found that ignoring Siri and the slider in the process -- just keeping on pressing that top button after the side button presses does the trick. I haven't needed a forced restart (touch wood) but wanted to be sure how to do it for when it was needed.

The iPad documentation says to press the top side button followed by the lower side button followed by holding down the top button to force restart on an ipad pro. But with ios 17, all that does is start Siri. Even with Siri turned off, all I get is a request to start Siri. Is there no longer a...

The Yahoo Mail App started sending and receiving mail again finally but refused to let me delete or move messages from the inbox. I put up with that for a few days, but, when it didn't stop, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. That has corrected the problem.

I find that in a pinch, usually I can use yahoo mail from the browser itself.
