The saddleback seems to be a great case, there are some reviews to find on the net...but the leather does not support a typing position so I didnt buy it.
Mine is actually faulty, I will get a new one.
It was easy to get the iPad in and I found that using only gentle pressure on that corner the iPad can slip out easily (and for 160€ I dont want it to look like this anyway).
In my quest for the perfect leather case I finally arrived at the Vaja Libretto, here are my experiences:
First I got the Yoobao executive case believing it is a "real" leather case.
+ it is quite affordable
+ the latest versions do not smell that bad
+ it fits nicely
+ leather feels OK
+ the...
I'll see. I like that corner as it gives better access to the buttons than other cases and shows a little of the iPads back. I usually dont drop my iPad so I am not concerned.
But I am kinda sad abandoning the Sena, it is really nice too. When on the sofa in a more relaxed position I have the...
I must say I am very happy with the quality of the Sena Florence leather. At the 45€ I paid incl. international shipping it is a steal IMO.
But the Vaja Libretto in Shitake is so damn beautiful, that even at the price and the probably limited lifetime is still hanging over me like the sword of...
Got a cheap silicone first, then yoobao, now sena florence, still thinking about vaja libretto even with the sena being fully sufficient and great quality.
It feels a strange first, but it has less friction than the glass. iPad screen sometimes gets a little sticky with some fast game, not so with the visor.
OK, I see what you mean with the Oberon. I am luckily not that obessed with having a cool looking case that stands out, but then this simple design with the straps will probably fit the next iPads too.
Saddleback is like the florence, full slide in, just that the saddleback is open on the left...
I am with you. Even if I probably would not drop it ever, without any extra grip on the back it always feels like I have to hold it very carefully and cramp my fingers around it. And I have pretty huge wedding band, it would so scratch the ipad in no time when holding it naturally.
Same with my...
Amandasue...sorry, I read something about iPod in your other post which probably was a typo - was it?. I am a little puzzled the text I got via forum mail is different from this, if you have the Florence what do you mean by corner straps?
Anyway you should ask Sena about your leather standing...
There is a saying here like "I cant afford to buy cheap stuff".
I usually go by that saying but that it for stuff I keep many years, even want to keep a lifetime.
I would buy the saddleback case right now, but it has no typing position :(
Then the Vaja Libretto with leather on both sides...
I love the look and I love to buy really great leather goods.
But I just saw a video and there is nearly no support for a typing position and that is the way I use a case 90% of the time...to bad :(
