I agree with jsh1120 when it comes to paying for something that really does the job well. I wonder if the developers couldn't work a deal with iTunes to permit a short trial period. Even 7 days would be enough for me to test drive an app and decide if I like it or not.

Definitely would not do for me, then. Being able to take handwritten notes, then convert them to text and email them is essential for me. Typingnotes in a meeting is far too slow, to say nothing of it being distracting to others.

Kaiff, are you looking for an app for note taking or an app for annotating documents, such as PDF docs? SOme folks have suggested great note taking apps. But for true annotation, I like iAnnotate PDF. You can highlight, doodle, insert comments, overwrite text. It does the trick for me.

I use iAnnotate for this. I use it all the time for work.

Now there's a waste of a good iPad, if ever there was one. :)

Notetaker HD does have a wristguard, as I recall. But it did not work very well for me and my style of writing. I no longer use it. It just sits there on my desktop. I prefer Penultimate, but I wanted an app for just the handwriting feature. If you want to be able to do other things in the app...

Do you have Microsoft Office on it? What kind of work are you doing on the iPad? I do not do much work on it. I consider my iPad to be a personal item; it helps me keep personal stuff off my work laptop.

How are you getting your movies into iTunes? Or are you just downloading from the iTunes store? I find even their rentals are pretty pricey. I bought movies from the 2 for $9 clearance bin at WalMart. iTunes wanted $4.95 for the rental and $19.95 for the purchase of the very same movie.
