Thanks, I did see all of that info on the update. I still prefer to wait and be sure there are no problems. I've rushed into updates before, on my phone and ipad, only to regret it later.

I'm trying to figure out whether to apply this latest patch as well. I will give it a week and see what everyone has to say about it.

I think you are referring to the original 7.0.1 update. This one is the 7.0.2 that only addresses the lock issue. I have installed it and am not experiencing any problems.

Ok the issue is resolved. I chose HDMI 3 and then rebooted my tv and cable box while the ipad was connected. Hopefully, this will help someone else in the future.

Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong? I am using an AV adapter along with the hdmi cable. I am plugging into the back of the tv. Not sure which "source" to use on the tv, but I've tried them all.

I am very new to this ipad stuff. I have an ipad 2 and here's my question: when I do the update, will it delete my folders and apps from my home screen? Also, what about my favorites in safari and chrome? If they could be deleted, is there a way to back them up? Thanks in advance!

Well yes of course I know about that technique. That's more for if a child is using your ipad and you only want them using one single app. I want to lock the apps on the screen. Or lock a folder full of apps. Any other ideas?

I have searched for hours for a way to lock apps or folders contains apps, but the only thing out there is for locking photos and videos, not apps. Many thanks in advance, GBI
