Kids love dinosaurs and the best app on the subject is probably Inside the World of Dinosaurs. I can't praise it enough, it really is wonderful. Lots of 3D models, gorgeous animations, tons of info and narration by the talented Stephen Fry (V for Vendetta, Black Adder).

If you're a teacher and want to show it to your students, try the 3D option as well (you'll need special glasses).
