It definitely appears to be with the iPad..my husband was able to use the same username and password from the desktop...I have no way of checking my newspaper because it's an app. :-(

Just wanted to add to my original post..my husband tried getting into a store website tonight using his username and password..he got the same message. He went in on the desktop and had no problem. So my question is, can a mobile device catch a virus? This has got me concerned.

Downloaded my local newspaper app a couple of weeks ago. I've had no problem making comments...until two days ago. I keep getting this message 'API Error: invalid username or password' my username and password are valid. I have deleted the app and re installed it..to no avail. Can anyone help...

Thank you. I'll disable the app refresh and get rid of some of the apps I never use...hopefully that will help.

Hen I turn on my iPad it seems to be opening very slow. When it finally does open when I swipe to get to the desk top, I'm having to swipe it a few times before it finally opens. Sometimes it even shuts off before it opens. Is anyone else having this issue? I hope I described the problem...

I'm sometimes getting a box that says 'connection error. The request timed out'. Or something like that...I'm now wishing I waited to download this to get all the feedback. I doubt I can back to the last upgrade.

I didn't read all the comments here...but wondering is there a way to shut off the 'password' option everytime I get on my iPad? I need to find a tutorial. I agree it does look a little 'cheap' looking...maybe I just need to get used to it. I was disappointed that all my notes in my note app...

I was able to update the 'normal' way...just now....for the first time in a week.....yay.......

I'm having no problem updating via the purchased tab. I let them accumulate for a couple of days, then go thru the alphabet. I'll be glad when this is fixed

Thanks for telling me about going to the purchased items to do updates. I got them done....but I shouldn't have to go through that to update. But thank you very much.

When I went into apps via iTunes on the computer...I found nothing that enabled me to update. I couldn't even find an update button...really bummed. But I have to leave for work now. I'll check back later. Thank you everyone

I did try synching through my computer....they still didn't update....
