    iPad Office Suite - HELP!

Good luck... ...the iPad is a (flea-powered) "consumption device". It can "make do" in a pinch (lots of reviews of various iPad office suites), but other than writers that need to be mobile (enter text, edit it on a "real computer"), it really can't handle the sort of work you might do with...

    OMNIPLAN vs SP PROJECT PRO

I waited for OmniPlan which just came out. I felt it had a bit more "precision" in the scheduling than SG, so opted to wait. LOVE IT! Please note that print to PDF isn't available yet, but Omniplan is working on it. Not sure about MS Project (doubt it), but too much would be lost during...

    Ipad as computer replacement?

The iPad is rather slow and limited to be your only option. It has its place (I'm using mine now), and love it for the size and "instant on", but it pales in comparison to anything more than a net book.

Apps For 15 month Old Youngster ?

None. You may care to research the effect of such technology on brain physiology and attention-span, especially on the very young.

Delete Contact? No red "Delete Contact" button when editing?

Any idea how to delete contacts on new iPad (3) with iCloud configured? When I edit a contact, there is no red "Delete Contact" button at the bottom!

Which iPad Case Do You Have? Rate It Out Of 10!

This one: Pelican i1075 iPad Case - PelicanCases.com Absolutely *love* it! Note: It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the molded interior is soft rubber; no scratching! 10 out of 10! I also have an Apple Smart Cover which I use with the i1075, and a leather binder (Bear something...)...

Apps to download Word docs etc from laptop

I'd use "Pages": Apple - iWork - Documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The Mac way. Probably easiest to use "File Sharing" in the Apps tab on iTunes (under "Pages" once installed) to transfer docs to your iPad. That is one of the few places Apple didn't erect a "brick wall" to prevent...

What is the BEST Tablet To Buy?

For me, it comes down to: Cost Screen Resolution What I can do I went iPad, in spite of severe limitations, because I got the most "bang for the buck" for screen resolution, at the expense of what I can do with the device. I shopped *very* carefully. What I really wanted was a small laptop...

Moving to The Dark Side.... thinking of getting an IPAD, but have reservations.

I've never had an Android, but after some *very* careful shopping, I went Apple. Since the iPad apps are written in Objective-C, vs. a Java derivative on the Android, it was a "no-brainer" for me. I always thought Java was a good concept, but was executed horribly. Android is moving away from...

    Sharing Functionality is Limited

I *did* read the manual, and numerous forums such as this. Your understanding is correct; the problem is a design choice (I'd call it an "issue"). Each app lives in a "sandbox", with no common file-system (unless you jailbreak). The way an app exchanges data is app-specific, with very little...
