That is true.

I was imagining a white iPad 1 in the Apple case, where the dirt collects in the corners. But I suppose with the new covers for iPad 2 this won't be an issue.

Oh yeah, I have a third party case and that happens. Gets annoying because I am so OCD about my iPad being clean.

Black. The white border just stands out too much against most things. Would be nice for e-books on white background and newspaper apps etc. I guess. Books I'll still read on my Kindle though as the e-ink is easier on my eyes.

Incase people are unaware there is a small disclaimer thing on the smart case video at the end saying that the colour on the Leather cases may rub off.
Not sure if thats on the iPad or in general but just thought i'd give those who were considering getting a leather case a wee heads-up

Look at the framing around TV's and computer monitors ... ever seen white?

Black actually provides better contrast when viewing the screen.

Mine will always be black for that reason.

I seen some white TVs made by Samsung, Sony and Philips. I saw a couple at a electronic shop called Media Markt here in Germany.

There are some TVs and monitors with white borders. But I do think a dark border helps with screen contrast (black border is less noticeable on all but white or other bright colors on the screen), so I'll be getting black.

Perhaps this is too obvious, but Macbook and Macbook Air are completely white.

Oh, no doubt...white IS fashionable. But is it PRACTICAL? I'm going with black.
