Wanted: free versions of Word and PowerPoint or similar

It's also against the forum rules to hijack other threads. Just so you know for future reference.
Personally, I don't know of anything free for the iPad. I use Pages from Apple, which is file compatible with Word. Keynote is the product you can use instead of PowerPoint. Unfortunately, neither of these are free. They are $10 each from the App Store.
Perhaps other members know of free offerings?

Afaik CloudOn is free. You can use it to edit or create MS Word, Excel or PowerPoint files. You can find it in the App Store:
