My iPhone updated to iOS 16, yet my iPad pro says up to date with iOS 15.7. Any idea when the iPads will get an update?

Probably quite soon but we won’t know for sure until it’s announced by Apple as Apple doesn’t give release dates in advance.

It will probably depend on how old your iPad is. Older devices won't be able to use 16, so 15.x is the end of the line for them.

Oldest is a iPad Pro 12.9 4th generation, so relatively new. I just saw where it was supposed to release in Sept but pushed back to sometime in Oct.

Hello - from the information HERE (shown below), your iPad Pro should have no issue - my iPad Pro is on iPadOS 15.7 and waiting until the 16.x release - BUT will likely delay my upgrade a little? Dave

I would think apple would want their products to all be up to date as soon as possible so I'm guessing that the iPads that are capable of upgrading to the IPADOS 16 will be able to do so before the month of October ends hopefully.
