Australian apps

Just wondering.
Trying to dl the app for the Australian program Four Corners from the ABC network.
All I get is an error msge :-(
So I thought it might be a regional restriction of some sort (I live in the Netherlands)
But I can view previous programs directly from their website.
Anyone any thoughts?

Are you referring to the abc iview app.
If you are ,it is definitely geographically locked to view in australa only.
I travel between oz and Vanuatu
If I haven't downloaded shows before I travel it's a not possible from the abc

Check out the BBC I player it cost about $80 a year but you can down load BBC shows its a ripper.

I know, got it already. The worldwide version with the 'free'stuff section, that is.
Nice to relive some of the classic BlackAdder, Absolutely Fabulous & TopGear episodes through this App

You can set up an Australian account then switch to iTunes Australia and purchase. However in saying that it may be blocked by an overseas IP address. What you need is an Australian iTunes card and an Aussie address and preferable a new email like gmail.com . If you need a card I can arrange it at no extra cost to you via PayPal just PM me.

Access to the programs via the australian ABC app. is not really a must have.
Was just curious how the mechanism of regional limitations works.
And now I know, at least I think I know
