Something weird happened

I opened an email via the Google app. I can't close the darn thing.

At the top of the screen is the search field. Bottom of the screen simply has a back arrow, a refresh symbol, a help symbol, and an open safari symbol.

Anyone have any suggestions?

hold bot home button and the sleep/wake button.

I've rebooted twice. I think it's the google search screen. Not sure what I did to get that screen up. Obviously if I knew how I got it on here, I'd get it off.

Well not sure what I did, but it appears to be okay. I logged out and then back in, had to shut Google down a few times, and then voila' it was okay.
