iPad 1-sudden death after synchronisation

during the iTunes-synchronisation my iPad ied a sudden death. No more reaction, neither by the homebutton nor by usin on/off- switch. Who has the live saving idea?

Have you tried holding both the home button and on/off buttons together, if not, try it for around 10 to 15seconds.
