As a youngster, I had a decent telescope and use to do a lot of star gazing - Orion was my favorite constellation to find in the evening skies (brief description below - table also from the link). Note the really FAR distances between these stars - of course, the 'ancients' simply clustered the stars together which simulated familiar animals/objects to them not knowing the vastness of the universe or the unimaginable distances between stars and galaxies. Thanks for showing! Dave :)

    Taos Pueblo after a snowstorm.

It’s 1,000 years old, and one of the longest continuously occupied places in the U.S.

Beautiful pics of the Taos Pueblo which we visited 30+ years ago - back then made multiple trips to Arizona and New Mexico (nearly all job-related); we purchased many art objects, some shown below on our den mantle, including a bas-relief 'matrix metal' sculpting of the Taos Pueblo (by Philip Vickers - more info HERE for those interested); the two end pieces and the bas-relief work were bought in Taos - the Kachinas, mostly Hopi carved, were mainly purchased in the Southwest, but a minority from elsewhere. Dave :)

The forum owners have a deal with an advertising service to place ads on the forum. In such deals there is normally no right to select the specific ads that will appear.
