Halfbrick announced today that Monster Dash hero Barry Steakfries has been joined by a new playable character in Monster Dash, thanks to a massive Ghostbusters themed update that has been released to celebrate Ghostbusters’ 3Oth anniversary.
In keeping with the Ghostbusters theme, which includes a New York City rooftop level, and the famous Proton Pack, Ghostbusters hero Peter Venkman (Bill Murray’s character) has been added as a playable character.
Also included in the update is the “Who You Gonna Call?” challenge, which will be a regular part of the daily challenge events as a special event held on Wednesdays and Saturdays only.
As part of the daily challenge, Venkman will be playable for free, but the rest of the time you’ll have to obtain the character via an in-app purchase. The daily challenge will also feature the fan-favourite Ghostbusters Slimer creature.
It was only recently that Monster Dash had a big update with improved game flow, and new weapons upgrades, as well as the aforementioned daily events, and the new Ghostbusters-themed-update fully capitalises on that.
