Youtube stops after changing tabs

Hey, when I'm playing a YouTube song and I change tabs to surf the net it just stops. Or when I'm listening to music and I click the home button to go play games, it also stops. Does anyone low why?

To continue playing a youtube video while surfing you need to open the video then when you switch pages double tap the home button and slide the bottom list of apps to the right and that will reveal the audio controls. Simply press play and you are good to go.

You need to open the audio controls in the multitask bar, hit play and the soundtrack will continue to play as you surf.

My iPad 4 doesn't work with this trick. It always doesn't let me multitask with YouTube in the background.

Hi, welcome to iPF!

The YouTube app doesn't allow to play audio from the videos in the background. Apps like iMusic, Pocket Tube or Jasmine do that.
