Mobile Entertainment has a story today about Yahoo's by-all-accounts excellent new sports app for the iPad called Yahoo! Sportacular HD. The app has been developed by Yahoo following on from its acquisition of US social sports company Citizen Sports, and is available to download for free here.
The app enables the sports fan to follow live games and stats, check scores and game times with just one tap, track games in real-time with play-by-play action, and find out when the match you want to watch will be on TV. Leagues and sports available include all the ones that you'd expect, including MLB, NFL, and NCAA Football.
Of course with it being a big sporting time of year in the US, with football starting this week, there are several other sports apps around, including ones from CBS and the NFL itself, according to Mobile Entertainment, but this looks like a pretty good one and is already getting mainly positive reviews in the App Store. Plus, it's got a cool name!
