I have only been playing Wordle since it went to the NYT, but I also have the Wordle App (free version) on my iPad Pro. If I look it up it seems steeped in controversy!
Anyways - it all works fine EXCEPT that periodically it locks to either a black or white screen between games. By trial and error I found that if I change the ‘Background Refresh’ and/or ‘’Tracking’ selections in the App settings of the iPad then I can bring it back to life. Clearly this is a PITA and I am wondering if there are any suggestions?
