Remember how we told you Gail Davis (above) had won that once-in-a-life-time $10,000 iTunes gift certificate, in celebration of the App Store hitting 10 Billion downloads?
Well, turns out when Apple called to give her said voucher, she hung up. Not intentionally, you understand. See, Gail thought the Apple representative was another one of those telemarketers from those dreaded call centers, trying to sell her double-glazing or weight-loss treatment.
Luckily for Gail, her daughter was clued into what she had done. Upon trying to call back, an Apple representative reportedly shrugged her off. Thankfully, Eddy Cue, the VP of iTunes, got involved and Gail and family are now $10,000 richer.
