Where to get an update to the Ipad operating system online?

Can anyone direct me as to where on the net I can get the latest update for my iPad operating system?

Settings,general,software updates. Is this what you mean?

If you are pre- iOS5, you need to plug into iTunes and update. If you have ios 5.x you can update over the air by going to settings/General/Software Update.
