When will Apple work on allowing iPad users have what's app on their iPad. Really annoying to find out I can't install and use it

The lack of WhatsApp on the iPad has nothing to do with Apple. The app developers have restricted this app to the iPhone only. This is what WhatsApp has to say about it. http://www.whatsapp.com/faq/iphone/20950161

And the main reason why WhatsApp is not on the iPad is because it's not a phone. The iPhone has different hardware to allow it to contact phone carriers/cellular towers and send text messages. The iPad does not.

Until and unless the iPad is turned into a [big!] phone - there will be apps that will not work on it that work on the iPhone, even while running the same iOS.
