I'm looking for some recommendations for a good remote desktop.
I tried some of the usual ones like RDP, but I find it annoying to use the mouse and scroll lists...

What is your favorite one?

I think it name was Logmein, or somethin' like that.
I deleted it so I'm not really sure. most of these apps are useless.

I have winAdmin from my company that works ok, I just need to make sure I am logged into my VPN.

Teamviewer for me.
Main reason might be that I have been already using it, even before I got my
Ipad.

One more strong point is that it is free.

RealVNC is my favorite. The problem with apps like Logmein and teamviewer is they require a proprietary server app. RealVNC is great because as long as I have an IP address I can log in to any computer....which turned out to be very useful on my last job, where I was trouble shooting servers and render nodes a lot.

Logmein seems to work for me. There is a free version that you can use, and the speed of the app is very good. Assuming a good internet connection of course.

For free VNC, Teamviewer.

if you want to pay, iTeleport is the way to go.

For RDP, iTap RDP is fantastic!

I have not tried iTap VNC, however if it is close to the RDP app, it will be top notch.

And yes, they have lag, all of them do. Find me a RD/VNC app in any platform that doesn't lag. My windows Pc direct lags as well.

I cannot stress enough the high quality of the programs. Buy em!

Are there any that actually stream sound? I was disappointed that the Ipad's client for Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) doesn't

For streaming sound I found zumocast to work well.

It will also stream movies (mkv, avi etc.) like air video as well as allow you to access photos and documents (doc, rtf etc..) seriously handy little app.
