I tried a search, but nothing came up. So, whats the best diary app for my iPad 4 please?

I think you're probably going to have to define 'best' i.e. what do you want the app to do that the built-in 'calendar' app doesn't?

I have been using Day One for a while and it makes a very good journal/diary app. It's packed with features and has good reviews/ratings. My favorite features are the calendar view and being able to sync to all of my iDevices. It also allows you to optionally add the current weather, tags, current location to your posts.
