I have an ipad2 on Verizon (3G and wifi) and want to get a better signal on my unlocked Android (ver. 2.3.6 Nexus1)on TMobile in California.

The phone is loaded with wifi/VoIP apps (GrooveIP and Talkatone) but local 3G service is poor.

Can I set up the iPad as a hotspot (or tether) to get a better voice connection on phone?

Both a stock, have not been jail broken.

Thanks!

No, unfortunately, a stock iPad cannot be set up as a hotspot. There is no way as Apple and the carriers never intended for the iPad to share data.

Sorry.
