Unable to transfer movies to itunes

Hi guys, I am unable to transfer movies to itunes, they r in the correct format. niether drag and drop nor using file menu help.
please advise what the problem might be !!

Under the "Store" blade in iTunes on your computer make sure you are logged into your iTunes account and that you have "Authorize This Computer" done. Now go to the "File" blade on the top left side and scroll down to "Add File" or "Add Folder" and browse to where you have your movies stored on the computer. If this does not work then try the "Add File" or "Add Folder" again and then also go back to the "File" blade and down to "Library" and click the "Organize Library". From there check the "Consolidate files" and let iTunes put a copy of the media into the iTunes media folder on your computer. Hope this helps.
