two ipads together

I have an iPad gen 1 wifi 3g, and my wife has an iPad 2nd gen wifi only.
Is there some way I can use the 3g with my network to put the iPad gen 2 into a wifi mode when away from my home network with tethering the 3g to the ipad 2 so my wif can use her iPad as an online set up through mine ?

Is there any App that can break the wi fi passwords when out and about to allow me to use any wi fi network I can find ? A tall order I guess.

You can jailbreak and run mywi to create a hotspot with your iPad.

You will not find and help here to steal wifi services from protected networks however.
